Aaaaaand we're back. Hi everyone(mom and dad)!

After a short three year hiatus, the best blog on the internet (add citation here) is up and running again! Since we last parted, I moved to New Orleans and did a bunch of stuff.

Really just all sorts

I'm now headed to sunny Flagstaff AZ, which is just great. I've heard. I...haven't been there before.

The face of a man who plans ahead

In between, I've been in Oregon, because my parents have decided that my career in construction (side note- I worked construction) means they don't have to pay for labor on their house anymore. So a week out at the family compound to re-side the house.

The culmination of years of tradework

Before we got down to exchanging labor for food and housing though, father and my brother J took me along to show me their new hobby- strapping themselves into a homemade internal combustion machine and hurling it through space.

These two functional, legal to vote adults rebuilt a Honda Civic in the driveway and now participate in activities which require the use of neck restraints and fire retardant garments. Because maturity means no one can stop you from doing the really fun stuff.

And they're not alone

After maintaining my position in the familial will, I headed north to scenic Portland to reacquaint myself with some old friends.

West coast best coast baby

We laughed and drank and sang, ate a lot of mexican food and scorched our stomachs on strong black Portland coffee. Portland is a great town full of people I love, and I'm glad I can have these chances to reestablish connections from time to time.

This place is awesome for a lot of reasons that have nothing to do with fucking Fred Armisen

But it is time to move on. Goodbye for now, Portland, I'm headed to Portland.
